Project Description

The amount of people choosing cremation has been growing at an increasing pace each year, and they also continue to look for a greater variety of burial options than have traditionally been offered in most cemeteries.

In coordination with StoneMor Partners L.P. and Pinnacle Nationwide LLC, Mekus Tanager developed a master plan for new burial options and features within Windridge Memorial Park & Nature Sanctuary. Primary goals for this project were to expand the variety of burial options for both traditional and non-traditional burial, but also to preserve the natural beauty of the forested hills and scenic vistas.

The master plan developed creates a naturalistic and intimate setting through winding forested pathways and the use of water features, in which as many trees were preserved as possible. To add to the burial options and inventory, the new sections include: private mausoleums, semi-private estates, additions to existing ground burial sections, natural burial sections, cremation estates, and cremation features along forested pathways.
