Project Description

Mekus Tanager was originally hired by Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, a cemetery within Catholic Cemeteries of the Diocese of Orange, to perform Master Planning Services for 12 acres of the cemetery.  For the Master Plan, Mekus Tanager laid out the locations for and schematically designed: a new Family Estates / Garden Crypts area on a hillside that makes use of previously unsuitable land for burial and adds 4,184 interments; a new 55,653 sq.ft. mausoluem containing 5,150 crypts and 1,100 niches; a new entry gate and frontage fence; overall site plan development; a new 15,000 sq.ft. administration and funeral home building; and a new 7,100 sq.ft. maintenance building with 1.5 acre maintenance yard.
