Konica Minolta was looking to open a Chicago-based sales, operations, and product showroom in close proximity to their clients in downtown Chicago. To help Konica Minolta find an ideal location, Mekus Tanager helped analyze a variety of sublease spaces to find a space that fit Konica Minolta’s programmatic requirements and that minimized build out.
Once the best space was chosen, Mekus Tanager designed a space that would allow Konica Minolta sales teams to showcase their products in a heavily branded, forward looking space to their clients. Spaces include branding walls, sales rooms, product display and demonstration areas, a presentation and training area, workstation areas, and support spaces as well. In addition to creating a unique space to showcase it’s products, Mekus Tanager helped Konica Minolta save money too by reducing the amount of build out and re-using the previous tenants furniture where possible, while also making slight changes to the layout to gain efficiencies. Overall, the result has been a unique, uplifting space that promotes Konica Minolta’s products and brand identity to their clients and staff.
