Mision San Juan Diego
Arlington Heights, Illinois
Project Description
A rapidly growing congregation of 810 families, the Misión San Juan Diego located a building in Arlington Heights, Illinois, which could be converted to a place of worship. Led by the Mekus Tanager design team, the building, which was previously the Scandinavian Club banquet hall, underwent a considerable transformation. The $1.1 million renovation involved the conversion of the banquet hall's existing space into a new sanctuary seating up to 600 people, as well as space for classrooms, offices, conference rooms, a choir room, and a multi-use parish hall.
