Project Description
The amount of people choosing cremation has been growing at an increasing pace each year, and they also continue to look for a greater variety of burial options than have traditionally been offered in most cemeteries.
In coordination with StoneMor Partners L.P. and Pinnacle Nationwide LLC, Mekus Tanager developed a section plan for new burial options and features within Bronswood Cemetery. Primary goals for this project were to create a cremation garden along the edge of the cemetery’s property. The section plan developed creates a naturalistic winding pathway which curves amongst cremation estates and burial options, such as cremation boulders and pillars. Additionally, a committal shelter was added both for memorial services and as a place for reflection.
